Agencies that can help

If you're interested in an independent adoption or single parenting, you can contact your state, county, or local department of family or child services. They may be able to help you locate a social worker or other counselor who can help guide you through the decisions you're facing.

Some religious denominations also have Family Services organizations.

An adoption agency can help you answer any questions you might have about adoption. They will provide counseling for you and will help you through every step of the process. You will not be charged for any services they provide you.

A counselor will help you sort through your options.

Family services

Some faith denominations have their own family service agencies. To find one, google "Family Services" and your preferred denomination.

To find your local government agency, google "Family Services" and the name of your state.
