Executive Director

Joi Wasill is the Founder and Executive Director of “Decisions, Choices & Options, Inc.” a 501c3 non profit educational organization based in Hendersonville, TN. Since 2002, DCO has provided classroom training and prevention education for over 40,000 high school students on the topic of teen pregnancy and abstinence. Joi is a graduate of the University of Mississippi with a degree in Public Administration and attended MTSU where she received her Teacher Education training and licensure. She is a former high school teacher at Hendersonville High, and she and her husband Bill, are the proud parents of a 12 year old son and the owners of a small business, All Star Screen Designs.

Joi became involved in the field of teen pregnancy prevention and education after going through the crisis pregnancy of a close friend’s teenage daughter 9 years ago. In the fall of 2002, she started the educational program, Decisions, Choices & Options at one local school in Sumner County, TN. The DCO program now serves over 50 schools in Middle Tennessee and has trained and partnered with over 40 pregnancy resource centers in 8 states that are now implementing the DCO curriculum in local schools. The program reaches 7-8,000 students each school year.
